When I say - "I am a Christian"

I am trying to confess

Only Christ can be my Comfort

For in Him I've found sweet rest

When I say - "I am a Christian"

I'm only boasting in the blood

That was shed to pay my pardon

And accepted by my God

When I say - "I am a Christian"

I am looking to the place

That brought redemption and salvation

To a fallen Human Race

When I say - "I am a Christian"

I am speaking of a strength

That's within - to rule and guide me

Through a Divine experience

When I say - "I am a Christian"

I am confessing that I've died

From all my self-willed ways and motives

Now joy and peace sweetly abide

When I say - "I am a Christian"

I am saying of my soul

There is no fear of falling

God's the One who's in control

When I say - "I am a Christian"

I am saying to the world

I have overcoming power

Come and buy of Christ this gold

~*~*~*~*~

If you want to be a Christian

John 3:16 is the key

For whosoever will may come

Come! Drink! And be set free

Thank God our anchor holds and grips the solid Rock (of Ages) Kizzie. He is our Absolute. Without Him we couldn't stand.

like Paul said its no longer i who lives but Christ who lives in me, we have been transformed into that glorious body of JESUS, no more walking in our own ways again having died to our own thoughts and behaviors,

I know that we are earthen vessels with the greatest treasure ever within. This I speak of the Holy Spirit.
The prophet said, "He veils Hisself today in earthen vessels with the Shekinah. The outside looks like a bunch of holy-rollers, old badger skins. But the inside hides the Shekinah Glory" and might I say as well, without that Shekinah glory, our feast won't hold out. It just won't last. We'll be up today and down tomorrow like a see-saw.
What you said about it no longer being us but Christ who lives in us is true but it does not take away the fact that we are still earthen vessels. IICor. 4:7 God bless you. :-)

I am not sure what you said "not at all" to but saying we have the differences inside is saying what I already said. So I am not sure if you are agreeing or diasgreeing with me. (We could be saying the same thing but in a different way)
I am not sure if I know the song by another name. Perhaps if you could type some of the lyrics I might be able to say if I have it.

thanks sis, the person who sang it has a voice like Bro Phillip Pierre's voice, i had a cd which had songs liek No weapon by Bro David Dayal and Bro Walker (Oba) , Just Let God (Sis Liz Bishop) and a few more songs like Stand, Go out like Elijah (Bro Rod Bergen)

yesterday i was watching the DVD for the year 2006 April Convention ,well it was a very nice DVD,
the story of Love was sang for more than an hour, and i enjoyed it how the youths were enjoying themselves.
